A bridge connecting two little towns is strictly guarded by a soldier who sits in a little cabin right in the center of it. He has instructions to send back anyone attempting to cross it and it is an order he very strictly follows.
Roger DoLittle, living in one of the towns, is very anxious to go over to the other side to see his sweetheart, and standing at the foot of the bridge studies the movement of the guard to see if there is any way he can cross over safely. He notices the guard disappears into his hut every five minutes and stays there for another five before he comes out again. Roger estimates if he runs very quickly he might just cross the center line in the five minutes the guard is in his hut, but then the guard would surely see him and throw him back.
Could you help Roger get across?
